Red Bull is facing a trip to the stewards in Austin, Texas following its victory at the United States Grand Prix!
Red Bull has been summoned to see the F1 stewards in Austin, Texas, for an alleged sporting infringement following its US Grand Prix victory.
The Milton Keynes-based squad scored its fifth win of the year on Sunday with Max Verstappen, who dominated the 56-lap race around the Circuit of the Americas.
However, the team has been flagged by the stewards for an alleged breach of Article 12.2.1.i of the FIA International Sporting Code.
This relates to the “failure to follow the instructions of the relevant officials for the safe and orderly conduct of the event”.
The stewards have indicated that Red Bull “failed to follow the instructions of relevant officials” on the grid.
While there is no clear indication as to what such a penalty could be, it is unlikely that Verstappen’s race victory is in danger, as it appears to relate to a procedural error on Red Bull’s part and nothing to do with the RB21 challenger.
Verstappen’s dominant win in Texas saw him close the gap to Oscar Piastri at the top of the drivers’ championship to 40 points.
